VistaChems supplies nonionic emulsifiers — sorbitan esters, polysorbates and PEG esters — alongside feed-grade and coating-grade precipitated silica, for formulators who need the material to survive storage, temperature and shear, not just look right on the day it is made.

How a project starts
- You describe the system: oil phase, water phase, target HLB, process temperature.
- We propose a lead grade and a comparison grade — often a low/high HLB pair.
- Samples ship for lab screening against your current emulsifier.
- Results guide scale-up, packaging and a phased changeover.

Most emulsion failures are HLB mismatches
An emulsion that creams in a week, an EC that fails the hard-water test, a W/O explosive that loses its interface in storage — these are rarely raw material defects. They are the required HLB of the oil phase and the delivered HLB of the emulsifier not lining up.
Single grade
When the required HLB of the system sits close to a grade's own value, one emulsifier is enough. Tween 80 at 15.0 for straightforward O/W; SPAN 80 at 4.3 for W/O.
Simplest supply chain, fewest variables.
Low + high pair
Blending a low-HLB sorbitan ester with a high-HLB ethoxylate gives you a continuously adjustable blend HLB. This is how most EC and cosmetic emulsions are actually built.
SPAN 80 + Tween 80 covers HLB 4.3 – 15.0.
Adjusted grade
Where a blend adds cost or handling complexity, we can shift HLB, viscosity, acid value or solubility on the grade itself and supply a single tailored product.

Eight application fields
Emulsion explosives and agrochemicals are our largest volumes. The same chemistry serves six more fields where a nonionic emulsifier has to hold an interface under stress.
Precipitated silica & specialty lines
Emulsifiers are our own manufacture. Alongside them we supply precipitated silica and specialty grades through the Vista and Sensil group — so a customer buying an emulsifier and a silica does not need two suppliers, two shipments or two sets of documents.
